If you'd like to join us as a Friend of Ashdown Forest, we have three monthly payment plans: £3, £5 or £10 per month and corresponding annual plans of £36, £60 or £120.

We are now moving towards collecting fees on a Direct Debit basis. The set up is simple: We will provide an online mandate form to enable an automated, recurring payment. This will cut down the work needed by the Trustees to administer the membership scheme and reduce operating costs.

Each of the three monthly plans will be based on payments being taken automatically on 15th of each month.

The annual plans will be based on payments being made as soon as possible after the donation request is made, and automatically at 12 month intervals.

You will be protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee which is offered by all building societies and banks who accept direct debits. As a customer, the Direct Debit Guarantee protects you against payments made in error or fraudulently. This means Direct Debit is the safest payment method in the UK.

The Direct Debit Scheme is operated by Go-Cardless, which is used by 85,000+ businesses and charities, of all sizes across the world.

Gift Aid Declaration

If you are a UK taxpayer, under the Government Gift Aid scheme, The Society of the Friends of Ashdown Forest can reclaim the tax you have already paid on your gift. This means that your donation can increase in value by a quarter at no extra cost to you.


By submitting this form, you are confirming that you would like the Society of the Friends of Ashdown Forest to reclaim the tax on your gift.

*It does not matter what rate of tax you pay, but if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, please understand it is your responsibility to pay the difference.
