A POEM BY ROSALIE LENG

Autumn Colours

Red is for danger, so it is said,

And gold is for riches untold.

But the Rowan’s branches are gleaming red –

Though no need for birds to be bold,

Here season’s riches beyond gold!

Leaves and berries, gold and red,

Berries so alive, leaves so dead!

Death in life, Life in Death,

Let’s be alive ‘till our last breath.
